On September 1, Chongqing International Construction Corporation and the Ministry of Education of Timor-Leste successfully signed the BETANO Agricultural Technical College Project (Phase I). The project was awarded at the end of July this year. The contract amount is 3.96 million US dollars. The construction period is one year. The construction of the project includes earthwork, structural engineering, mechanical and electrical installation, water supply and drainage, gardens and other ancillary facilities.

       The project is the first agricultural technology university in Timor-Leste and is the first step in the country's agricultural transformation. Upon completion, the project will provide strong conditions for Timor-Leste students to learn advanced agricultural knowledge and technology, help Timor-Leste improve its agricultural production conditions and further enhance its agricultural production level.

       Since the beginning of this year, in accordance with the instruction of Foreign Minister Wang Yi who was invited to visit Timor-Leste, "Deepen agricultural cooperation and hope that Chinese enterprises will make their due contribution to promoting the sound development of bilateral relations between the Middle East and East", CICO has actively participated in the country's agricultural transformation and development project. CICO has won three bids in Timor-Leste this year, the Laivai Agricultural irrigation project and the Quelicai-Ossu road upgrade project both are closely linked to the country's agricultural transformation and development. In the next step, in accordance with the overall strategy of "bow outward" of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Group, CICO will always give full play to its own advantages, seize the market development opportunities, actively expand new fields and new businesses, and firmly promote the high-quality development of the Group.
