Chongqing International Construction Corporation (CICO) is a state-owned enterprise in Chongqing and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (Group) Co., Ltd.. It has been listed as the ENR TOP250 International Contractors since 2012, selected as a China foreign projects contractor with the highest credit of AAA since 2011, and credited as the best enterprise in growth in the construction industry of China, the advanced unit for open economy development in Chongqing and one of the best trustworthy enterprises of Chongqing, etc.. It has now become a leader in the foreign construction industry in southwest China.

CICO was founded in 1985 with a registered capital or RMB 620 Million. It has 11 wholly-owned (holding or joint-stock) subsidiary and 13 branches domestically and 11 branches respectively in Asia, Africa and other regions. The Corporation can be engaged in international engineering contracting, labor export, import-export trade, and has all the 3 qualifications of Chinese Foreign Aid Whole-Set Projects, Foreign Aid Project General Contracting and Foreign Technical Assistance Project Implementation. Nowadays, with its Special Grade Qualification of General Contracting in Building Construction as well as 3 First Grade, 3 A Class and 11 other qualifications, CICO has built a complete industrial chain integrating design, construction, consulting, testing, electromechanical installation and fit-out.

As the first international enterprise which is the only one qualified Foreign Aid Contractor in Chongqing, CICO is actively responding the “Belt and Road” Initiative, integrating itself in the construction in the related countries, and has contracted over 200 overseas projects in Asia and Africa, with the contract value exceeding USD 3 billion. CICO has also implemented 48 Chinese Foreign Aid Projects, with the contract value exceeding USD 1 billion. Actively participating in the Western Development and the construction of Chongqing’s Inland Opening Heights, CICO has undertaken nearly 300 projects in China, many of which have won national and local quality engineering awards.
