Chongqing International Construction Corporation

Chongqing International Construction Corporation (CICO) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chongqing Urban Transport Development and Investment (Group) Co., Ltd. CICO was founded in 1985 with a registered capital of 620 million yuan and has 9 branches overseas in Asia and Africa, 4 wholly-owned (holding) subsidiaries, 6 joint-stock companies and 14 branches in China.

The Group has the right to contract foreign projects, export labor services, and engage in import and export trade. It has the qualification to undertake complete foreign aid projects. Currently, it has three general contracting qualifications and 16 professional qualifications, including the special grade for general contracting of construction projects, the first grade for municipal public works construction, the double-A design (architecture and civil air defense), the third-A supervision (highway, municipal, housing construction), and the first grade for architectural decoration. Its business covers engineering contracting, import and export trade, labor export, equipment leasing, engineering consulting, etc., forming a relatively complete business chain integrating engineering design, construction, supervision, testing and inspection, mechanical and electrical installation, decoration and other industries.

As the only state-owned foreign aid project construction enterprise in Chongqing that "went abroad" at the earliest, CICO actively integrated into the national "the Belt and Road" construction, and undertook more than 200 overseas projects in Asian and African countries and regions. Actively participating in the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle, the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and the Inland Opening-up Highland, CICO has undertaken nearly 300 engineering projects in China, and multiple projects have won national and local quality engineering awards.
