Recently, the 2022 Chongqing Municipal People's Government Mayor Scholarship silk road project for Foreign Students - "East Africa Construction Industry Technical Skills Training Project" has been jointly launched in Chongqing Jianzhu College and CICO’s KIRA Project in Uganda. Relevant leaders of the Municipal Education Commission and the Municipal Construction Commission as well as principals of Chongqing Jianzhu College and CICO attended the launching ceremony. Silk road project training experts at home and abroad and Ugandan trainees attended the conference through online cloud and offline participation.

       It is reported that the silk road project is a key project to build the characteristic vocational education brand of "Study in Chongqing" by taking the form of Chongqing government leading and school-enterprise linkage, integrating production and education of higher education institutions, vocational colleges and industrial enterprises, coordinating the development of education culture and economy and trade in Chongqing. In this silk road project, more than 50 projects have been applied by undergraduate and vocational colleges in the city, of which 20 projects have been successfully approved.

       The construction industry technical skills training program in East Africa focuses on the construction industry in Uganda (oriented to East Africa). Relying on the excellent educational conditions, teachers of Chongqing Jianzhu College and oversea project resources of CICO, The six skills of surveying, road building, materials, reinforcement, masonry and template for international projects are trained for East Africa's Chongqing-funded construction projects. The teaching method adopts the mode of combining offline and online training, helping Chongqing construction enterprises "going out".

       The university-enterprise cooperation to jointly promote the silk road project, was built outside CICO actively practice "the belt and the road" initiative, promoting national building closer, the important measures for human destiny community by conducting the talent training, technical training, cultural exchange activities, set up in the field of vocational education skills of communication and cultural exchange platform, effectively promote china-africa cultural exchanges and people to people ties.
