Recently, Lokitaung Junction- Kalobeiyei River Road Lot2, the first project of CICO to enter the Kenyan market The rear section of KM120-KM160 and the front section of KM80-KM120 were accepted and delivered to the owner on February 17 and April 25 respectively by the Kenya National Highways Authority.
       
       The Kenya 80 Km Road Project is located in Turkana County in northwest Kenya, close to the border between South Sudan and Uganda. The 80 km project, with a contract value of $82.58 million, includes 11 steel Bridges and 199 main road culverts. The bridge, box culvert and pipe culvert construction of the project is numerous, cement concrete construction side is large, stone material is difficult to take, construction water is seriously lacking, the local social situation is complex, the whole construction is difficult. The project department overcame various difficulties, reasonably organized the construction, grabbed the construction schedule, and completed the construction on schedule. According to the project manager, the completed bridge No. 10 is the longest truss structure bridge in Kenya with a total length of 260 meters. Bridge No. 11, with a single span of 80 meters, is currently the largest single-span truss structure bridge in Kenya.
     
        The smooth completion and handover of the project has provided a fast and safe passage environment for local people, greatly promoted the economic development of the region along the route, enhanced the influence of CICO in the local area, and laid a foundation for the company to deeply explore the Kenyan market, said by CICO representative.
