To overcome difficulties to build public praise and pay attention to reputation to establish image

——Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Juming and his delegation inspected the upgrading project in Bangladesh

       On March 22, Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Li Juming and his delegation inspected the polder upgrading project in Bangladesh. Li Jiming pointed out that the project is a benefit of people's livelihood in Bangladesh, which will build a flood control for the people of Bangladesh submersion of solid barrier, he stated that CICO should maintain a consistently high standard and high demand to carry out the project and make a good work of the people's livelihood to contribute more power for “the way and the belt”construction.

       Ambassador Li Juming and his delegation visited the construction section of embankment protection at 48# polder and conveyed cordial sympathy to the Chinese staff on site. After listening to the report of  Bangladesh Branch of CICO on the project construction, Ambassador Li Juming pointed out that the construction resources in Bangladesh are scarce, transportation conditions are inconvenient, and the project implementation conditions are difficult. CICO has overcome the difficulties and promoted the steady implementation of the project, which shows the enterprise's spirit of making bold efforts. In view of the difficulties faced by the current project management, Ambassador Li Juming hopes that CICO will build a good reputation and brand through the project, deeply cultivate the Bangladesh market, and actively develop new projects to ensure a more healthy and sustainable development of the company. Ambassador Li Juming said that the Embassy supports the healthy development of Chinese enterprises in Bangladesh and tries its best to help them appeal and coordinate with relevant parties to create a smooth environment for the implementation of projects.

       The Project is located in Barisal, southern Bangladesh. It is a polder rehabilitation and protection project with a total contract value of $138 million and a construction period of 60 months. The project was funded by the World Bank and started in July 2017.

       Liu Zhenhua, Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, embassy staff, reporters of Xinhua News Agency in Bangladesh and relevant leaders of CICO Bangladesh Branch attended the inspection activities.
