The Kasenyi-Mitooma Road Upgrading Project, contracted by the Uganda Branch of CICO, was completed in Mitooma on December 8th. Ugandan President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and his wife attended the ceremony.
The Kasenyi-Mitooma project, which began construction in January 2017 and will be completed in January 2019, has a total length of about 12.32 km. The road is an important traffic artery connecting Kasenyi and Mitooma towns. It is part of the National Highway Development and Maintenance Plan of the Uganda Highways Authority. The upgrading of the road has greatly improved the traffic environment of the two places and provided convenience for residents to travel. At the same time, the road reconstruction has made full use of the human and material resources of the two regions, created more employment opportunities and promoted the regional economic development.
For many years, CICO has been deeply engaged in the Ugandan market, and its completed projects have been highly recognized and praised by the Ugandan government and local residents.
