On November 28, the Ganta to Sagleple(39)KM road project was successfully signed between CICO Liberia Branch and Ministry of Public Works of Liberia.
The project is a design and construction project managed by the World Bank. The 22-month contract was funded by the Liberian Road Fund and the bid was $30.36 million. The project is located in the southeast corridor of Liberia, the road project is an important transportation hub between Liberia and Guinea and plays a very important role in the economic development of Liberia. When completed, the project will significantly improve access to Ganta-Tabeta, improve infrastructure in the southeastern region of Liberia, and promote economic development along the road, benefiting hundreds of thousands of Liberians along the road.
With more than 10 years of experience in Liberia, CICO has successfully implemented a number of projects in Liberia, including the 180-km Bonga Road Project in Liberia's Red Light District and the Monrovia Bay Bridge project. The total contract value of CICO in Liberia has reached about US $200 million. Since the beginning of this year, CICO has overcome the great difficulties caused by the spread of the Covid-19 epidemic in Liberia, adhered to both epidemic prevention and control and overseas market development, and continued to deeply expand the Liberian market. The signing of the project has continued to expand the market share and brand influence of CICO in the Liberian engineering sector, and has laid a solid foundation for the development of CICO in West Africa, which is of great significance to consolidate the overseas market.
