Recently, a good news from CICO Uganda Branch: it has successfully won the bid of "Design and Build of Upgrading of Kira-Matugga Road and improvement of 5 No. Junctions" and "Massaka Town Road (7.3 km) Reconstruction Project".
The awarded contract value of Design and Build of Upgrading of Kira-Matugga Road and improvement of 5 No. Junctions is 200,398,059,014 Ushillings (approximately 54 million U.S. dollars), the employer is Uganda National Road Authority, the total construction period is 36 months. The project is located in Kampala and Wajiso District, the capital of Uganda. The main construction content is about 21 kilometers of two-lane asphalt concrete road, 2 kilometers of two-lane widening to four-lane asphalt concrete road, improvement of four intersections and two graded intersections Design and construction of engineering such as the connecting ramp at the intersection.
Massaka Town Road (7.3 kilometers) Reconstruction Project, won the contract amount of 35,967,449,434 U.S. dollars (about 9.65 million U.S. dollars), the owner is Uganda National Road Authority, the total construction period is 8 months. The project is located in Massaka City, Uganda. The main construction content is 7.3 kilometers of two-way two-lane asphalt concrete road.
Uganda National Road Authority stated that the construction of the two roads is to alleviate the current state of urban traffic congestion and to a certain extent drive economic development.
CICO stated that the award of the project in Uganda again is one of the results of deepening the African market. CICO will continue to follow the national "Belt and Road" Initiative, further strengthen construction management and integrity performance, actively create high-quality quality projects, promote the development of the African region, and continue to make unremitting efforts to achieve the goal of "excellent transnational building service provider"!
