(CFTEC), CICO earnestly implemented the spirit of the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic, meticulously studied and formulated domestic and overseas pandemic prevention and control plans, and resolutely implemented pandemic prevention and living supplies Reserve and guarantee work, and comprehensively strengthen the daily temperature monitoring and health screening of all overseas employees to ensure that various pandemic prevention and control measures are in place.

On July 1, CICO had the "first" COVID-19 patient. A Chinese employee of the Liberia branch tested positive for nucleic acid and was confirmed as COVID-19. CICO attached great importance to it, reported in a timely manner, and immediately launched an emergency response plan for the prevention and control of the pandemic. At 9:40 in the evening of the same day, CICO organized a video meeting for overseas branches to arrange the deployment of pandemic prevention and control work: spare no effort to treat patients, raise awareness of pandemic prevention, refine prevention and control measures, make basic guarantees, and strengthen information communication.
On July 3, all resident employees of CICO Liberia Branch conducted a nucleic acid test, and the results showed 5 new infections. CICO contacted the expert team of Southwest Hospital again, communicated with foreign doctors, studied and discussed the patient's condition, and determined the treatment plan. At the same time, more stringent isolation prevention and control measures have been adopted to ensure the safety of employees.
Live safety first, and working together to fight the pandemic is effective
"Put life safety first and treat patients at all costs." CFTEC gave instructions at the first time and hosted two special meetings to study and deploy the pandemic treatment and prevention and control work of the Liberia Branch. CICO earnestly implemented the deployment requirements of CFTEC, further strengthened organization and leadership, clarified work responsibilities, refined prevention and control measures, contacted Southwest Hospital to assist Hubei's team of experts in fighting the COVID pandemic to consult with patients, actively respond to the pandemic, and take positive measures for patients. The treatment has ensured that the Liberian branch's pandemic situation has been dealt with in a timely and effective manner.
In addition, CICO has further clarified the responsibilities of the overseas pandemic prevention and control leading groups and members of other countries. Special leaders and specialized personnel supervise and guide foreign institutions to implement prevention and control measures: comprehensive and in-depth investigations on the trajectory of patients and their contacts. Separately isolate all resident employees, conduct nucleic acid testing on all employees, and perform comprehensive disinfection of resident sites to prevent cross-infection among employees. Domestically, we actively coordinate the procurement and logistics of pandemic prevention materials, and make every effort to guarantee the medical supplies and protective equipment required by overseas branches for pandemic prevention and control.
With the joint efforts of all the staff, on July 16, local time, we received a notification from the Ministry of Health of Liberia that one case of COVID-19 and five asymptomatic infections from the CICO Liberia branch passed two nucleic acid tests on July 13 and July 15. The results were negative, and the number of COVID-19 patients of CICO were "cleared".
In the face of extremely severe "natural disasters", CICO stays true to danger and is united.
