On August 28, the Urban Management Bureau of Yuzhong District, Chongqing City sent a banner and a letter of condolences of “Flood Fighting and Rescue Exhibition Style, Supporting Dredging and Seeing the Truth” to CICO, thanking CICO for its active participation in Yuzhong District’s flood relief work.
It is reported that due to the once-in-a-hundred-year flood peak crossing, some sections along the Yangtze River, such as Changbin Road, Jiabin Road, some viaducts, etc. In Yuzhong District, Chongqing, were interrupted by floods. Businesses and residential buildings along the route were flooded, vehicles were damaged, and people’s property safety suffered serious losses. After the disaster, the Hualongqiao Interchange Project Department of CICO actively participated in flood fighting and rescue work, dispatching 3 loaders and dozens of workers to carry out dredging and rescue operations on 2 kilometers long municipal roads in Daxigou Jiabin Road, Yuzhong District. After two days and two nights of continuous fighting, the traffic on the road was cleared in time, and the normal operation and living order of surrounding businesses and residents were restored in time.
CICO stated that it is everyone's responsibility to actively participate in emergency rescue and disaster relief work, and CICO, as a key municipal state-owned enterprise, should be ahead.
