As one of the earliest state-owned foreign-aid project construction enterprises "going global" in Chongqing, CICO has actively integrated itself into the national "Belt and Road" initiative, and has undertaken more than 200 overseas projects in Asian and African countries and regions. At the same time, it also actively participated in the construction of the new land and sea passages in the west, the open highland in Chongqing inland and the twin-city economic circle in Chengdu-Chongqing area. Moreover, it has undertaken nearly 300 projects in China, many of which have won national and local awards of quality engineering. For more than ten years, CICO has been ranked among the top 250 international engineering contractors in the world and maintained the highest AAA credit rating of China's foreign contracted engineering enterprises, had itself included in the recommended list of foreign contractors in more than 10 national markets in Africa and Asia, and won successively the titles of Top 100 Enterprises with the Most Growth Force and Potential in Construction Industry in China, Advanced Unit for Developing Open Economy in Chongqing, and Best Enterprise of Great Integrity in the municipality.
