Timor-leste Prime Minister Mr. Luwak inspected the Project of Quelicai to Ossu (22.7km) Road

       Recently, Timor-Leste Prime Minister Mr. Luwak visited the project of Quelicai to Ossu(22.7km) road undertaken by CICO. The Minister of Public Works of Timor-Leste Mr. Silva and CICO’s manager of Timor Leste Branch accompanied him together.

       On the site, Prime Minister Mr. Luwak and his delegation listened the project schedule which introduced by the Project Manager, and got a good understanding about the situation and the overall plan of the project. Prime Minister Mr. Luwak recognized the overall idea of site construction and mobilization of Contractor’s facilities as well as equipment, and spoke highly of the road project from Aileu to Ainaro, which was originally contracted by CICO, saying that CICO has established an influential brand image of "CICO" in Timor-Leste. Prime Minister Mr. Luwak said that the Timor-Leste government attaches great importance to the Quelicai to Ossu road project, which is the only way to his hometown. After the project is completed, it will upgrade the local traffic conditions, promote the development of local economy and improve the living conditions of local residents, which have been looking forward to it more than 20 years. Prime Minister Mr. Luwak hoped that CICO should increase personnel and equipment input in the implementation of the project, speed up the progress of the site construction, complete the project as soon as possible and improve the local traffic situation.

       It is reported that the road project from Quelicai to Ossu is funded by the Timor-Leste government, and the Employer is the Ministry of Public Works. The total length of the road is 22.7km, 5 meters of asphalt concrete pavement. The contract period is 18 months and the contract amount is 16,547,661.76 US dollars.
